Hallucination
A hallucination is an AI statement that sounds convincing but is false or made up, such as a wrong price, an invented source or a service the brand doesn’t offer at all.
At a glance
QUESTION What does consulting from brand X cost? │ model finds no clear information │ANSWER "from €99 a month" ← plausible, but invented
Example
An AI names a package for a company that never existed, because similar providers have something like it. For the brand that is dangerous: prospects arrive with false expectations or rule it out without ever visiting the website.
In practice
Regularly ask the common assistants about your brand, your prices and services. Where they are wrong, a clear, findable statement is usually missing. Write it unambiguously on your website and make sure it is correct in profiles and directories too.
How it fits together
Hallucinations arise mainly where the Training data is thin and no Grounding takes place. A clearly described Entity lowers the risk.
