Germany’s leading cloud phone system. Position 1 for “Cloud Telefonanlage”.
I’m Bernard Zitzer, SEO & GEO consultant from Berlin.
Placetel, Nextbike, Laudo & co. trust me
I make brands the most visible in their category: in Google, ChatGPT & co.
What sets me apart from other SEOs.
Six things you should know about how I work.
Floor plan first
I studied marketing management, market-oriented business leadership, before I learned SEO. Audience, positioning and brand form the floor plan. Keywords come after.
Architect, not agency
I plan and take responsibility myself: five ongoing clients at most, plus one project. No account manager, no interns. My clients’ teams or my AI agents build, I check the structure.
Structure over trends
Others follow trends, I plan for the long term and without black-hat methods. The basis is what users really search for and need. I have worked with Placetel for ten years, and its organic traffic would be worth almost 200,000 US dollars a month as Google Ads today (Semrush).
Exposed concrete, not a facade
I design many websites of my own. So I judge a page by structure, readability and user guidance, not keyword density. What is well built needs no cladding.
Less, but better
Simplicity, reduced to the essentials, structurally clean and thought through to the last detail. Anyone can build fast with AI today, the extra mile makes the difference. That’s how this website was built in a few days. More on that in the AI workshop.
A model, not a copy
Innovation drives me. The guide and glossary concept I developed for Placetel can now be found at Fonial, Wirecloud and Sipgate too. Concepts get copied. The lead stays with whoever plans the next step.
Results that last.
Today my clients are the most visible providers in their category. Two examples from long-term work together.
“With Bernard we got to the top, and with him we will stay at the top.”

My background
Since 2016: independent SEO & GEO consultant
In 2016 I quit my agency job and went independent, first as a digital nomad, today from Berlin. I advise companies that want to become market leaders in their category, in Google as well as in ChatGPT, Gemini & co. My clients include Placetel, Nextbike, Laudo and Iusta.
Speaker and trainer
I speak regularly at conferences and run SEO workshops for in-house teams and educational institutions. Among others at SEO Campixx (2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020), at OMT and as a lecturer at the AFS Akademie für Suchmaschinenoptimierung. I’m also a member of the XOVI expert council.
Founder: e-commerce with Mason jars
Together with a friend I built an e-commerce brand for American Mason jars and later sold it for a five-figure sum. So I know both sides, the consultant’s and the entrepreneur’s.
2014 to 2016: SEO manager at netspirits
At the online marketing agency netspirits I looked after clients of all sizes and industries (B2B and B2C), trained companies and staff and spoke at conferences.
2011 to 2013: degree in marketing management
At Karlshochschule International University I learned to understand markets, audiences and positioning: market-oriented management. That perspective shapes my work to this day.

My conviction
You can’t buy market leadership in Google & GPT. You have to earn it.

Design and aesthetics
I wouldn’t call myself a designer, but you don’t have to be a star chef to appreciate good food. I’m into art and love beautiful typography, colours, compositions, products and materials. I almost studied communication design.
Vibe Coding
I build my own web projects with AI, from the first idea to launch. You can see two of them above, with real visitor numbers.
Self-reflection
It’s not far-fetched that a professional optimiser also optimises himself. Out of that interest, onorbit.co was born.
